Summary of Duties and Responsibilities :
Optometrist
Job Objective:
The primary function of the eye care professional within our organization is to diagnose eye health and refractive errors by performing a thorough eye examination to prescribe corrective spectacle and contact lenses.
Responsibilities:
* Optometrists examine eyes and treat vision problems, usually by prescribing eyeglasses or contact lenses, vision therapy, or rehabilitation programs.
* Examine patients' eyes with Retinoscope, to see how patients react to lenses of different strengths.
* Use Ophthalmoscopes to see the inside of the eye.
* Make diagnoses, such as nearsightedness or farsightedness, and prescribe lenses or other treatments.
* Refer patients to ophthalmologists when necessary
* Discover eye conditions caused by systemic problems, such as diabetes or high blood pressure, and refer their patients to other medical doctors.
Specifications:
* Must be a graduate of school of Optometry
* Speak, read & write English, Arabic a plus
